Principal’s Message

Good afternoon Hawk families!

Celebrating Our Student Scholars in Aladdin!
A huge highlight this week was watching our talented student scholars take the stage in Aladdin! Our students showcased their acting skills, singing voices, and confidence as they brought this wonderful production to life. It was such a joy to see their hard work, creativity, and dedication shine on stage. We are incredibly proud of each student who participated!
A special thank you to our ACT directors for their leadership and commitment to providing this opportunity for our students. We also appreciate our staff for supporting and encouraging our performers, along with our families and school team members who attended the show and cheered our students on. Your support makes these experiences even more meaningful.

Our campus was full of energy and excitement during our fun-filled Spirit Week! Students, staff, and families joined in by dressing up, showing their creativity, and embracing the fun each day. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the week such a memorable celebration of our Marina Vista community. We love seeing our Hawks show their school spirit!

A Friendly Reminder: YouthTruth Family Survey
Families, this is our final week to complete the YouthTruth survey! Your feedback is incredibly important to us. We are always looking for ways to grow, improve, and better serve our students and families. The survey gives you an opportunity to share your thoughts, experiences, and ideas about our school.
If you have not completed the survey yet, please take a few minutes to do so before it closes on Friday, October 30. We value your voice and appreciate your partnership in making Marina Vista the best it can be for every student.

Our Book Fair is also coming to a close. Thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged reading and helping our students discover new books and authors. Every opportunity to put a great book into a student's hands helps nurture curiosity and a lifelong learning!

We have even more fun ahead as we close out October next week!
  • Field Trips: Our second- and fifth-grade scholars will have exciting opportunities to learn and explore beyond the classroom.
  • PTO-Sponsored Trunk or Treat: Join us Friday for this fun community tradition! Thank you to our PTO for organizing experiences that bring our school community together.
  • Annual Mask Parade — Friday, October 30, at 2:00 p.m.: Families and community members are welcome to join us as our students showcase masks representing different cultures and traditions throughout history. We look forward to celebrating the creativity, cultural diversity, and learning represented in this special campus parade.
We are grateful for our families, staff, and community partners who continue to make Marina Vista such a special place to learn and grow. Thank you for showing up for our students, celebrating their accomplishments, and helping us create a school community where every Hawk can feel supported and encouraged. GOOOOOOOOOOO Hawks!

Have a wonderful weekend,
LAST WEEK | Please Help Us: YouthTruth Survey - If you have not had an opportunity to share your feedback through our YouthTruth family survey, we encourage you to take time to take the SURVEY today! This is an important survey as we use the data in our day-to-day work, including professional development with our teachers and staff at the school and district levels. Thank you for your thoughtful input and time. It we do not hit the participant threshold per school site, the school will not receive a report to help guide their work. Please take 10 - 15 minutes this weekend to share your feedback.
