Marina Vista Elementary School has earned Platinum recognition, the highest honor awarded through the 2026 California PBIS Recognition Program.

The recognition celebrates Marina Vista’s commitment to creating a positive, safe and supportive school environment where students can learn, grow and succeed.

This year marks a significant achievement for Marina Vista, which advanced from Silver recognition to Platinum, reflecting the continued growth and dedication of its staff, students and school community.

PBIS, or Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, is an evidence-based framework that helps schools establish clear expectations, reinforce positive behaviors and provide additional support based on student needs. The approach focuses on creating inclusive learning environments where students feel connected, supported and ready to succeed.

“Positive school culture is one of the cornerstones of MPUSD, and these recognitions demonstrate how deeply that commitment is embedded across our schools,” said Donnie Everett, Assistant Superintendent of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support.

Marina Vista is among 15 MPUSD schools recognized through the 2026 California PBIS Recognition Program and one of 12 district schools to earn Platinum recognition this year.

Congratulations to the entire Marina Vista Elementary School community on this outstanding achievement!
