At MPUSD, we maintain a strong culture of inclusivity at all of our schools. This year, we are recognizing Inclusive Schools Week from December 8-12. Our teachers and staff are proud to provide access to a high-quality education for all students and extra support when needed.
Here are some suggested ways our community can support this important week:
1. Share messages of inclusion: Post on social media about the importance of inclusive education
2. Support an inclusive school or program: You can donate supplies, volunteer your time, or attend events at local schools or community centers that promote inclusive practices. Even writing a note of appreciation to educators who champion inclusion makes a difference.
3. Practice inclusion in your daily interactions: Use the week as a reminder to model inclusive behavior. Learn about accessibility, use respectful language, listen to marginalized voices, and advocate when you see exclusion. Inclusion starts with small, everyday choices.
