Verna Daa

Special Education Teacher

I am Verna Verdijo-Daa, a Special Education teacher from the Philippines. I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher at an early age. Throughout my teenage years, I pursued many outlets to develop my skills as an educator and speaker through a variety of school and community-based volunteer opportunities, as well as spending my free time in reading different kinds of books and life stories.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education major in Special Education from Leyte Normal University in 2015 and in that same year started my teaching career in a private school for children with special needs. Every day is challenging but I always see hope and dreams from my students’ eyes.

It is in teaching that I found my purpose in life
